1. Provider
Legal Contact Intelligence is a trading name of B Shaw LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 12912346. Business enquiries may be sent to brett@chroniclelaw.co.uk or raised by telephone on +44 7480 990 290.
2. Website use
You may use this website for legitimate business information and enquiries. You must not attempt to bypass security, access another client’s materials, interfere with the service, scrape protected areas or use the website unlawfully.
3. Accounts and access
Portal access is personal to the authorised business user and organisation. Users must protect their account, report suspected misuse promptly and access only files assigned to them. We may suspend access to protect clients, individuals or the service.
4. Data licence
Unless an order states otherwise, datasets are licensed rather than sold outright. The licence will define permitted users, purpose, term, territory, channels, download limits, onward sharing and any refresh or replacement commitments.
5. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for selecting a lawful and appropriate use, giving required privacy information, complying with UK GDPR and PECR, maintaining suppression lists, checking telephone preference registers where relevant, respecting objections and ensuring their communications are accurate and identifiable.
6. Restrictions
Clients must not publish datasets, resell or sublicense them, combine them for unlawful profiling, use them for discriminatory or harmful purposes, contact people who have objected, or claim that inclusion indicates endorsement or interest.
7. Quality and corrections
We use reasonable processes to structure and verify data, but professional information changes frequently. The agreed service description will set out verification timing, query periods, replacements and any specific quality commitments. No dataset guarantees commercial results.
8. Fees and cancellation
Fees, VAT, invoicing, payment dates, term, renewal and cancellation will be stated in the relevant order. Where enabled, secure payment links are provided for an agreed order. A checkout return page is not a payment receipt; access is granted after payment verification. Contact alerts subscriptions are planned for 2027 and are not currently offered for purchase.
9. Confidentiality and security
Each party must protect confidential information and use reasonable security measures. Clients must notify us promptly if a licensed file is lost, accessed improperly or used outside the agreed scope.
10. Liability and governing law
Applicable liability provisions, governing law and dispute terms will be stated in the relevant order or statement of work.
